The cooperation with village health workers becomes concrete

Every Ethiopian farmers' cooperative has two village health workers. They mostly grew up in the village, have completed the 10th grade and a 1,5 year-long training in important topics to promote health in the village: hygiene, nutrition, vaccinations, pregnancy, Treatment of common diseases, etc.. And now Podo.

The photo is unfortunately very blurry, it shows some of the 23 Women, who were informed about Podo at the end of April. In some villages, the Podo self-help groups have already started. You have already registered people with swollen legs. Their cooperation becomes even more important in the face of the worsening pandemic in the country, because we want to reduce the travel of our own employees. The next meetings will take place in October.

Also in Ijaji we have started to train village health workers and actively involve them.
